The definition of an event is anything you want it to be! It’s a gathering of compassionate people who have come up with a way of raising money and having fun at the same time!
Your event can be open to the public, or by invitation only in a public or private location. Events can be one-time or a series repeated over the summer. Every idea counts! Examples: your own or a neighborhood tag sale, a cocktail party, an end-of-summer neighborhood party, lemonade stand, etc.
If you can’t host or attend an event yourself, we still want to hear your idea so we can share it and maybe somebody seeing this wants to do something but doesn’t know what to do. Your idea may inspire them to action!
Can’t do either? Match proceeds on somebody else’s event. Surprise somebody!
The only limit is the reach of our imagination. Be inspiring! Go for it!
Complete the event registration form and submit. Allow 24 hours then check the All Events List to make sure everything is as it should be. For one-time events, come back to the Tell Us How It Went page the day after your event and complete the event report form and also submit photos or videos via the email link. It will take 24 hours for your numbers to be reflected in the running totals.
For serial or continuous events, please don't keep us in suspense! Feed us information frequently using the same event report form.
